Kings Five (Jazz) - 8pm - FREE

Kings Five has a hip instrumental sound that swings and they deliver fun, family friendly entertainment that can be enjoyed by folks of all ages and musical interests.  Pianist/Composer Abi Romero Ramirez has been a tenured professor in the prestigious Universidad de los Andes since 1999 as Director of the History of Music and Latin-American Music Chair. Saxophonist Jon Sundstrom is a Bay Area native who traveled to the east coast to study at Berklee College of Music before returning to the bay area. Bob Sundstrom embarked on stage in jazz early playing with the Utah State High School Champions for Jazz, with the rhythm section and as a soloist and later studying under  Mike Christiansen at Utah State University.  Scott King decided one day to get serious about studying the bass. The result is a mainstay of our rhythm section.  As a percussionist, Chas has been in numerous rock 'n roll, blues, jazz and swing bands both on the kit and hand percussion. His credits include the 1990s proto-Beatles tribute band 'Day Tripper', and swing-blues combo 'The All Nighters' in San Diego.
